Hello all,
This is my first attempt at creating a blog as part of the SLQ's License 2 Drive program. I'm hoping that this course will demystify much of the jargon I encounter and enable me to come to grips with new networking tools as part of my personal & professional growth. Not only has the sheer volume of information become sometimes overwhelming, but the variety of formats now available electronically is also staggering. I've not used any other blogs & look forward to this course as a golden learning opportunity which I hope to impart to others here in the MBRC library service. While I'm familiar with many other online resources such as databases, I haven't yet picked up on the recent networking applications & look forward to learning what I can of this from this SLQ course. Whether blogging is a more effective means of communication between patrons & staff than email is yet to be demonstrated to me, although I'm open to possibilities.
